TRANSPERSONAL ART THERAPY

Transpersonal Art Therapy is being offered at Womenspace.

Art therapy is a wonderful form of healing that offers you the chance to bypass your verbal story and explore it through the use of art mediums to gain insight and meaning that you may not have found before.

You do not need to be ‘good’ at art or consider yourself to be artistic, you simply need to be willing to explore your life’s challenges through a creative medium.

One-on-one sessions are being offered at Womenspace with Karen Dickson, a student completing her work placement through ‘Ikon Institute’ at Bowen Hills. Karen has already passed her theory and practical exams and completed over 30 sessions during her studies.

INTRODUCTION TO INTUITIVE ART PRACTICE: Getting Out of Your Own Way

Creativity is a crucial, yet undervalued part of our natural being. In this evening, you will be challenged and encouraged to break through the traditional views surrounding creative practice and embrace the intuitive creative flow that exists within all of us.

The topics discussed will be:
• What is creativity?
• What does it actually look like? Feel like?
• What are some common obstacles to achieving creative flow?
• What can we do to get out of our own way?

You will be encouraged to engage in the discussion, take part in some short meditations and quick creative unblocking processes. At the end of the evening, you will be given a 10 day creative challenge that you may wish to undertake after the session.

LIVING IN THE BODY WE HAVE:

Making Peace with our Body

Our bodies are incredibly intricate wonders that allow us to exist in the here and now, but for so many of us our bodies do not measure up to what we think they ‘should’ be.

In this workshop we will be using creativity to explore and gain some clarity around our body – as it is right now.

In a safe, small group setting, we will be using art making to deepen your self-discovery, experience your own uniqueness and move towards self-acceptance and self-love. As well as having fun along the way.

All art supplies will be provided and morning tea and snacks are also included. Tea and coffee will be available throughout the day.

MAY SOUL & SPIRIT

RECOGNISE YOUR SELF WORTH AND BRING OUT YOUR BRILLIANT

with Louise Geary

Free Happy Woman Enjoying Nature. Beauty Girl Outdoor

It can be so simple to be mindful, present and peaceful. Why don’t we do it? What draws us back to the old, uncomfortable, destructive habits.  How can we live the life we desire?

Every woman has some form of brilliant tucked away inside her. Every woman has the right to be her unique self. When a woman connects to her core, she discovers a feminine presence, peace and compassion that brings a light into every cell in her body and understanding and acceptance into every facet of her life. Life flows and joy becomes part of her way of being.

In this discussion with Louise, we’ll look at some of the reasons why you might hide away your brilliant, unique self, how you can accept and embrace all of yourself, including the parts you don’t like, why you might revert to old patterns that hurt you and your relationships and through some simple but powerful practices look at how to turn this around, so you can build the life and relationships you desire.
