SARAH HOPKINS: ‘SACRED SOUND JOURNEY/SOUND HEALING IMMERSION’

Experience the transformational healing power of sound as you journey the harmonic soundwaves with one of Australia’s leading composer-performers, at Womenspace. Sarah Hopkins: ‘Sacred Sound Journey/Sound Healing Immersion’ is a unique performance – uplifting music for the soul.

Over the years, many people have described Sarah Hopkins’ performances and workshops as “life-changing” experiences. Sarah’s visionary music for cello, overtone singing, bells and the celestial sounding Harmonic Whirlies take you on a journey deep into the spirit of the land.

Harmonic Whirlies are musical instruments of Sarah’s own creation, which everyone can immediately play. Sarah says, “Each whirly produces celestial sounding pure harmonic music, whilst simultaneously providing powerful vibrational healing.”

“Harmonic Whirlies effect all levels of our being: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual and are fabulous for energy balancing, alleviating depression plus cleansing your auric field.”

‘Wise Women’s Circle’ is a regular gathering, held on the first Wednesday of the month, in Sandgate.  Womenspace invite a range of exciting presenters each month to offer a sample of wisdom and skill to enlighten our souls, nurture our spirits and educate our minds.

Sarah Hopkins is an internationally acclaimed composer, performer and workshop facilitator, touring as a cultural ambassador for Australia since 1981. Sarah has called Shorncliffe home since 1990, with much of her inspiration drawn from the natural beauty of the area.

One of Sarah’s passions is creating music for group unity and consciousness raising; writing compositions that bring together a range of celestial sounding musical instruments which everyone can easily play. Accordingly, Sarah Hopkins Sacred Sound Journey/Sound Healing Immersion at Womenspace will include a number of group participation pieces for those who would like to take part.

The magical beauty of these sounds is deeply healing and uplifting. Pieces include, ‘Blessings for World Peace’, ‘Reclaiming the Spirit’, ‘ Sonic Blue’ and ‘Remember the Joy’.

“Inspiring, heartfelt music which truly lifts the spirit….

Sacred Gathering of SHE

Sometimes as mothers or partners in our family, or daughters and sisters in our family of origin, we get lost to the nurturing needs of other people in our life.  If we find ourselves constantly in the accommodating role, we lose ourselves and our deep capacity to love and feel ecstatic joy. It is our birthright to feel joyful, to be honoured, loved and nurtured.

In order to grapple with and learn to dive into the feminine, we need some space, some time, wisdom and willingness to share our inner selves… to ourselves. When we do this in the presence of other women, we reflect our deeper selves back.

Whether we have enjoyed our female relationships or not, they can teach us deeply and reveal what it means to be a loving feminine soul. If you haven’t known strong, or positive woman role models in your life or felt connected to your Motherline, you will find great solace and value in circle work. It offers a deep connection to other women and with it opportunities to learn, reflect and be guided by each other.

All women will benefit from this sharing.  When we validate each other we deepen our connections, our trust and respect for our inner She wisdom.

For some who have not sat with women in circle, it may feel daunting. Be at ease about the ritual, and the ceremony. It will be simple, yet meaningful and sacred. By starting with an intention, we open up a sacred space to enter our deeper selves. The circle will be a place where you will sit in respectful, non- judgmental women centred time.  Whether we are joyful or sad, all our sharing is important for us to in turn reflect acceptance and knowingness of each other. We don’t need to step into or over each other, just be witnesses to a woman’s story and her time.  As in life, there is plenty of laughter and tears in the creation of a joyful experience.

The gathering will be limited to approximately 10-12 women; an open circle for the first few months, so come and join when you are free to do so, then when the time is right we will create a nurturing closed circle of women who meet regularly. This will be Our She Sisters circle.

Ask yourself this question, “Am I ready to show up for ME! and to be nourished by other women in my community?”.  We call upon those women who feel that they are ready to go deeper and explore the wisdom and truth about their Inner SHE-ness.

Be present with ritual and ceremony in Sacredness. Allow us to sit with you… and share.

For many years, Catherine Donaldson has known that being with like-minded women, has enriched her life and nourished her soul. 5 years ago when she began to sit in circle, she realised she felt more herself and more in her potential than at any other time in her life. This potential is very different to how she felt with the men/ brother/father/lover/ partners in her life. These men she believes, provide very different and wonderful energy – the Yang to our YIN. They balance us. The women however, including grandmothers, mothers, sisters and girlfriends, whether friends partners or lovers, help unravel our heritage, our feminine soul, our divine she-ness.

Whether we have enjoyed our female relationships or not, they can teach us deeply and reveal what it means to be a loving feminine soul. If you haven’t known strong, or positive woman role models in your life or felt connected to your Motherline, then you will find great solace and value in circle work. It can offer a deep connection to other women and with it opportunities to learn, reflect and be guided by each other.

Catherine has been sitting with women for the last 5 years, and for her it has been completely transformational and freeing. In this is truly sacred work, Catherine’s guide and teacher is an inspirational and truly remarkable woman, Lhamo (Reverend Liz Lotscher). Liz is an Inter-Faith Minister, a personal counsellor, the creator of ‘Mother Quest’, ‘Mother Song’, many sacred feminine courses in south-east Queensland and facilitator of many women’s circles. Liz has sat with woman for over 20 years. As Catherine’s mentor and guide, she has learnt from Liz to create my own circles and now in doing so, steps up and out, choosing to be there, showing up for other women.

.As Catherine has grown in age and wisdom and can now be in a soft place of wisdom and sharing; to listen and spend time to just be with women and witness their heart’s desire in order to be the courageous yet loving and gentle souls they may long to reflect out to their families and the world.

ACTIVE DREAMING CIRCLES

You are invited to join women in a safe and respectful environment where facilitator, Cheryl O’Connor will be holding Circle Space monthly during 2017, to explore and mutually discuss:

How we can make sense of the weirdness of our dreams.

How we can use the world around us as our own personal map.

How we can create our very own encyclopedia of dream symbols and their specific meaning to us.

How we can learn the language of dreams.

How we can tap into our creativity using our dreams.

How we can strengthen our intuition via our dreams.

Each month we will be entering The Dreaming consciously in order to experience firsthand the insight, guidance and wisdom awaiting us.
