The presenter at the Women Weaving Stories on Friday 25th April is Janine Quine, the Community Engagement Facilitator and Educator at Australian Catholic University and a member of Womenspace Management Committee, with an extraordinary story to share:
“In 1996 at the age of 35 and as a single mother of 4 children, I decided that if I was going to improve the life outcomes of my children and have the financial security I needed to go to uni and become a teacher. What was initially meant as a long-term economic plan, became a lifelong transformative experience that did not bring me life-long economic stability. Instead, my decision took me on an unplanned and unimagined path that not only enriched my life beyond measure but totally changed how I saw the world and my place in it.”
