Our venue at 11 Second Avenue, Sandgate, QLD offers an exceptional location, just 200 meters from the stunning waterfront and the vibrant Sandgate village.
This prime positioning makes it easily accessible, with the train station and bus stops within comfortable walking distance, and a free public car park conveniently located across the street.
Whether you’re hosting a workshop, seminar, or an intimate gathering, our venue provides a welcoming atmosphere that fosters connection and engagement.
So far we have hosted presentations, workshops, yoga and meditation classes, performances, installations, and family events.

This cozy arrangement features comfortable lounge seating, a stylish coffee table, and plush armchairs, creating a perfect atmosphere for conversation and connection.

Private Garden
The secluded back garden is a quiet shady area (marquee available).
Kitchen
The kitchen has a fridge, microwave, stove with an oven, dishwasher. There are glasses, cutlery and crockery for 30 people.
Toilets / Shower
One of our two toilets has a shower and is wheelchair accessible.
Hire Our Space
If you would like to hire our space for an upcoming event:
A copy of $10 million public liability insurance Certificate of Currency is required.
$30 refundable cleaning bond to be paid.
Members: this refers to current financial members who are regular providers of WS activities.

Booking time needs to include the setting up time before and cleaning time after the booked session.
For WS activities that have no charge, a small contribution to facility costs per person is highly recommended.

1. Womenspace is a space for women to meet and connect. Men are welcome to attend Womenspace events as long as they respect the guidelines of Womenspace.
2. All hirers must be aged 18 years or older
3. The Hirer agrees to take good care of the property, ensuring it is not misused and report any damage or breakages to the Womenspace office and won’t interfere with, remove or damage any of Womanspace’s property.
4. Cleaning – The hirer is to ensure the floors, kitchen and toilets are left in the same condition as upon entry. Vacuum and/or mop floors, wipe kitchen benches, clean toilets and empty bins into the large bins outside if full or containing scraps. Equipment is provided for cleaning.
5. Venue Hire Payment – To be paid in full, 7 days prior the event including a $30 bond deposit.
6. Bond – The $30 bond will be returned on inspection of the room for cleanliness and any breakages or damages.
7. Key – Access will be confirmed prior to the hire date
8. INSURANCE: You must have Public Liability Insurance to the value of $10 million dollars and provide a Certificate of Currency for the Hire Agreement to be valid.
9. CANCELLATIONꓽ if either party cancels this Hire Agreement the party cancelling must take all necessary steps to ensure that the other party is formally notified in a timely manner
10. REFUND: If the hirer gives written notice of cancellation more than 48 hours before the hire date the hire fee will be refunded. In all other circumstances Womenspace retains the hire fee. If Womenspace cancel within 48 hours from the date of hire, and no alternative arrangements can be agreed upon, then the hire fee will be refunded
11. NON-PAYMENTꓽ if the agreed fee has not been paid and receipted by the due date, then the property may not be made available to the hirer.
12. Womenspace is not responsible for the process or content of any activities facilitated at Womenspace. All promotion of hire activities is the responsibility of the hirer.
13. Worker’s Compensation is the responsibility of the hirer
14. At the time of booking, you must advise the Womenspace Office Coordinator if alcohol will be served on the premises. Selling alcohol is not permitted.
15. This Hire Agreement covers a designated area of the Womenspace property, not the whole property.
16. All property hire is at the discretion of Womenspace.
17. Please be respectful of other users of the Womenspace property and keep noise to a minimum.
18. No parking in driveway. All vehicles to use street parking.
19. No pets or animals permitted, excluding assistance dogs
